Had a blast in NY this past weekend. Shopped at some favorites like Saturdays and Brooklyn Industries. Ate at some nice Manhattan spots like Spicemarket and Hakato Tonton along with Brooklyn's Marlow & Sons and Char No. 4. Walked all over East Village, Lower East Side, SoHo, Greenwich Village and Union Square. Even made it uptown to check out a jazz quintet at Smoke.
I'm in NY often and very very seldom do I get a feeling there that something I'm doing or seeing could be replicated in Austin. Surprisingly, that happened this weekend in Bushwick when I ended up at a BBQ with a friend. Bikers, hipsters, photographers, rappers, skaters and stylish people (who share my love of sneakers)...
